A very enjoyable dinner at Moonstar Restaurant - best Chinese buffet in Bay Area. Colin especially loved the desserts. December 21, 2010
This first week of Christmas vacation has been pretty rainy. The sky finally cleared up today so we decided to go to Christmas in the Park. As you can see, Jocelyn loved posing for pictures and never gets tired of smiling...

Jocelyn at a birthday party (Raspberry Lips). Whatever happened to the good ol' days....Gymboree parties? They grow up so fast... December 17, 2010
Family Feast/Holiday celebration at school in the morning. Colin was able to stay in my classroom afterwards. He got to listen to stories during recess, work on assignments, and he was even brave enough to pet a snake! At night, we also had a mini-Christmas celebration at Chinese school.

Jocelyn put her Lego puzzle together the very next morning after we got back. She was determined to do this herself. Very impressive! Another skill that nobody knew she had...

I stuck a bead up my nose in the afternoon. Mommy tried to get it out and thought she couldn't. So to play it safe, we went to urgent care to try to have them take it out. They couldn't find it either. When we got home, Daddy found the bead on the floor. What an episode!October 22, 2010

We won some tickets to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk earlier this summer and today we finally got to go. What a fun place! Fun rides and we also got to play on the beach. Jocelyn, as always, watched her baby brother to make sure he got on/off rides OK and even held him when a ride became a little too much for the little guy.

The weather was nice outside so we decided to go biking around Stanford University campus. Jocelyn wanted to go up to the observatory but for the second straight time, they were closed again. Maybe better luck next time! Nevertheless, Jocelyn enjoyed posing for different pictures. Afterwards, we went and had ice-cream and shake for dinner.

I am starting 2nd grade tomorrow! We walked to school today to find out who my teacher will be. It's Mrs. Simpson. And she happened to be in the classroom so I got to meet her ahead of time. I'm so excited about 2nd grade!

Mommy and Daddy do not like going camping. Luckily, Rachel's family do and this year, they and a bunch of people from church went camping at Calaveras Big Trees for 4 days. Thank you for letting me tag along. It was fun just hanging out with friends with no parent/minimal adult supervision. It was a great experience taking care of myself and seeing what it's like living in the outdoors.

We planned to go to Discovery Kingdom couple of weeks ago but Jocelyn had gotten sick so we waited until today. The most amazing thing was that Colin actually wanted to play in the water area and was very willing to get himself wet - even his face. It was hilarious...

July 25, 2010
We almost missed our church family retreat as Jocelyn came down with something similar to Colin earlier in the week. Fortunately, she got better and we just ended up missing Friday night. We all had a good time. On the way back home, we stopped by Sausalito and had some Lapperts ice-cream.

What's wrong with the pants I'm wearing? Oops...Daddy helped me put them on and they are Jocelyn's! Funny...

Growing up so fast....Turning 7 today. We celebrated by going to Happy Hollow and then Elephant Bar for dinner.

For my birthday this year, we had a party at Vallco Ice Rink. One of my tooth came out while I was eating my cake!

Colin's condition did not get much better yesterday so we checked into the hospital. Cranky, cranky, cranky....he would cry every time a doctor/nurse came to check on him. Fortunately, we only had to stay there one day. And the part of the hospital where we stayed was pretty new and the room was huge - with flat-screen TV and cool toys.

Poor Colin - a fever and cough that just won't go away has made him very fatigued the whole day. All he wanted to do was to sleep. As it turned out, he developed pneumonia and dehydration. As his condition did not improve by night-time, we took him into the emergency room. He got a nebulizer (to open up airways in lungs) and IV (dehydration) treatment to stablize his condition. By 2:30a.m., he was allowed to go home. To have gone through so much at such a young age....

June 13, 2010
Today we took Cecilia to Stanford University and then to a beach along Highway 1. Colin loved playing with the waves and did not mind at all about getting wet. Before Cecilia's flight back to New York, we all had dinner together.

Daddy's cousin (Cecilia) came to visit. We took her around to some of the famous San Francisco sights...

Mommy always wanted to go fruit picking. We finally were able to do it this Memorial Day holiday. With the help of Colin and Jocelyn, we ended up with alot of cherries. For lunch, we went to In-N-Out. Amazingly, Colin agreed to eat a burger (just meat and the bun and nothing else) - this is the first time in his life!

Jocelyn is such a caring and sweet big sister. She said that even in her sleep, she knew Colin had rolled right next to her. So she was going to be careful not to step on him if she had to get off the bed. May 9, 2010

Happy Hollow Park and Zoo reopened after a year of renovation. We went to check it out. Colin wanted to go on this 'Up-Down-Up-Down' ride not really knowing what it was about. Unfortunately he got really scared and it might be awhile before he'll go on it again.

Tonight Colin decided that from now on, he does not want to sleep in the crib anymore. So we let him sleep on the floor in his room. The next morning, we found him in the hallway in front of our room. I guess he was too tired to make it inside.

Colin first time playing in the snow - we were afraid he might not like it. Turned out he wanted to keep sledding down. Jocelyn making snow angel and courageously tubing down the steep hill. What a fun day of snow play we had and the weather was nice and warm!

February 16, 2010
We arrived at Sonora in the early afternoon. It's a much easier and shorter drive than going to Tahoe. Unfortunately, there was not much to do in this town. So we had an early dinner and tomorrow, we are going to the Snow Park to do some sledding and tubing!
February 15, 2010
Daddy had to stop by work even though it's a holiday today. It gave us a chance to ride the Light Rail (first time for Colin). Colin loves trains and of course, he didn't want to get off. He enjoyed just sitting and watching the train go by everything.

Happy Chinese New Year and Valentines Day! Doesn't Rachel and Jocelyn look like teenagers? We'll have to take a similar shot in 10 years and compare.

We visited Sato Sushi - food was average but the main reason we went was to check out the sushi trains. Colin was absolutely excited about it during the whole time. Afterwards, Jocelyn went to her school friend Sachi's birthday party that included doing science experiments.
